Herbalife today has taken its original nutritional concept to the next level with the addition of Professor David Heber as Chairman of its Nutritional Advisory Board. Dr Heber is the Director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles and a Professor of medicine and public health. Heber is a noted expert and author on human nutritional needs and the cause and treatment of obesity. Herbalife also is the only nutritional company to have a Nobel Prize recipient, Dr. Lou Ignarro, on it's Nutritional Advisory Board. Dr. Ignarro won the Nobel Prize in medicine in 1998.

Mark Hughes Cellular and Molecular Nutrition Research Facility at UCLA School of Medicine.
As part of their commitment to research and development of advanced nutritional supplements, Herbalife established a Cellular and Molecular Nutrition research facility at UCLA. The lab is headed up by Professor David Heber, Professor of Medicine and Public Health at UCLA and Founding Director of the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition.The mission is to advance nutritional science to new levels of understanding using the most progressive research and development technologies available. The researchers will fingerprint individual herbs using a method called Multidimensional Profiling that will enable the company to maintain its position on the forefront of creating the most advanced supplements available.
Utilizing the UCLA research facilities Herbalife has established both a Nutritional Advisory Board (SAB) and Nutritional Advisory Board (MAB) made up of world renowned scientists and nutrition experts to create products based on latest research.

Professor David Heber, MD, PhD, FACP, FACN

Chairman of the Herbalife Nutritional and Nutritional Advisory Boards, and founding director of the UCLA Centre for Human Nutrition. He is on the forefront of nutritional science initiatives and provides the company with breakthrough research on herbal supplements, diet, and nutrition. Dr. Heber has published articles on botanical dietary supplements and phytochemicals and their role in prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease. He has written several books, including Natural Remedies for a Healthy Heart and What Color is Your Diet.

Professor Louis Ignarro PhD

Professor Louis Ignarro is a member of Herbalife's Nutritional Advisory Board, which advises the company on advancements in the field of nutritional science. Professor Ignarro has made exceptional contributions to learning about the human body and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1998 for his discovery of Nitric Oxide and its range of benefits to the human body. Herbalife also is the only nutritional company to have a Nobel Prize recipient on its Nutritional Advisory Board.

As Vice President of Education, Luigi Gratton, M.P.H. coordinates the strategic management and direction of Herbalife's Nutrition Advisory Board to ensure Distributors have a thorough understanding of products, ingredients and their benefits. Gratton works closely with Distributor Trainers around the world to ensure the dissemination of accurate product information.
